It's my sad duty to report that my BarnFindValiant was creamed yesterday by a huge front-end-loader piece of construction equipment.

They were doing some work on the city water system in my neighborhood and the big tractor backed into the little Valiant on the driver's side.

It didn't have a chance.

I was in the car at the time and was transported by ambulance to get x-rays and a catscan. I'm ok, except for bruising and soreness.

So....I guess I'm parting out what's left of a flawless 76 Valiant. I've got some very, very nice pieces on the car if anyone is interested.

That's pretty sad...not to stir the pot, but where was the guy's "spotter"?
That's an OSHA violation for sure, lawyer would be good as the construction company may want to settle out rather than get crippled by the rising insurance rates a negligent employee can cost them...

Glad to hear you are OK...

Oh man I'm sorry to hear about that. Horrible luck, at least you are physically fine. I was hoping to meet up with you sometime to share stories. I think you need another barn find slant. You've got a parts car now I guess. Man, that hurts! I feel for you...

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. :(
However, it's good that you're still around to tell us about it.

I don't know who said it-
Better to have loved and lost than to have never have loved at all.
The old girl had one last day in the sun. At least you are still around to give her another rebirth through another vehicle. Any donors out there? Sounds like a good cause to me!
Still, I'm sorry for your loss, glad you are OK.
Cheers!
Terry
