Or may-be he just needs bigger bumps on his cam.

We still have some good weather out here in Calif.,
it was 76 degrees and sunny at Sac. this weekend :P

So all you guys get your cars together and make plans to come-out to Las Vegas in March so we can go play on the strip. (Both of them  )

Don't tempt me Doug, I might actually do it.

Headwork sounds like fun. That's soon on my list too.

Hey dschumers,
How much will that head work cost if you don't mind me askin'. And how extensive. I just got the call I've been waiting for that my head is done. It's a 1970 truck head ported/polished extensive bowl work opened up for the f**d 302c.i. valves, hardened seats, 3 angle job and Crane springs. And milled .020 just ran me 789.45 Assembled ready to bolt on. The bottom end is finally done so hopefully I'll get to meet some of you guys this upcoming year.
p.s. If I don't get the car done I'll bring the softail! he he

Later, 63GT

All i can say Bagel Bomber next year you better stop talking and start chalking we may go even more radical than our first plan. Gary has the time and ive got the dime. If the car goes like we think it will we will go pro with all electronics. We want another championship bad. Your racing enemy Ron Possum Parker :D

63GT, I haven't even asked Mike for a price yet. If I have to ask I can't afford it anyway. $800 is about what I had in my last street head, and it sounds pretty comparable to yours. :D

Possum, you got a lot more serious people than me to worry about for that Championship. Like the yellow '66 Dart, the red '66 Dart, the teal '62....................   If you need a box, maybe it's time to quit!

Hey Mr. D,

Few more questions for you (and Mike and Blaine if they're listening): :?:

- Will your new head be flow tested and comparable to heads on the Duzzin'?
- Is it a streetable unit (road racing included)?
- Can it be built with any head style (early/later/latest)?
- Any special hardware required (rockers...)?
- How much milled, or can it be milled for higher comp?
- What valve types/sizes?

Just trying to plan my life...

Thanks in advance,

Lou

Lou,

Will your new head be flow tested and comparable to heads on the Duzzin'? I cannot release that information at this time.
- Is it a streetable unit (road racing included)? Maybe, but I think low-end will be a little thin, valve springs may be a little stout for the street too.
- Can it be built with any head style (early/later/latest)? We are using a "later", but you should be able to use any of them.
- Any special hardware required (rockers...)? I will use a set of Cox rockers.
- How much milled, or can it be milled for higher comp? I will not be milling any for my motor, but it can be. (I don't need the squeeze)
- What valve types/sizes? Manley Pro-Flow for SB Chevy. I cannot divulge the sizes, I'd have to kill both of us.

 This is exciting. The head stuff. If this calles me a guest which it has done lately it me elam. I love the engine building. I found a car if I can talk my wife into it lot of money but wow what a car. It would put me  skiping this coming race year but that way I wouldnt be competing with Lou for rookie of the year. I would hate to see him dissapointed anyway. Wish me luck on this car I really want it.

Well, hope you get a slant car soon, it's not good to go to long with-out one.

Looks like you have the guest vs. elam thing worked-out, you just need to be sure you are logged-in to the board. (I never log-out so I don't have to hassel with it)

It will be interesting to see if Begal or Possum can outdo one another.

Maybe we could have a "feudin' clans of the year" award for the winner between Dennis and Ron? :P
