It looks like I will be trying to get to Mason Dixon on April 7th (Saturday) to do some Test & tune on my Valiant. I should be ready by then and can get a good baseline. I may go again late in April also.

Probably be 3 or more Covalt's. I spoke to Maynard Gress (another local) and he wants to come also. Anyone else who is local or far is more than welcome to come along, and we can have our own little Slant 6 run. T&T is from 12 noon until 5:00PM. $30 I think.

I'll check the local weather when we get close and let everyone know that we are still a go.

I might try to make it down there with you guys..

I am planning on going this weekend as well.

Saturday.. Forecast is looking better for both saturday & sunday in Boonsboro..

I was able to pull ruster out and onto the trailer over weekend . It's a bit more of a chore with the lower bodywork on the front , but I got it figured out :-)

Greg, If you mean this Saturday there is a possibility that I may try and make it too. Once the E-brake stuff is in place I could probably run her down the strip. Ryan and I will probably come down for moral, support even if my car is not ready!

Woo Hoo! let the games begin!

Rick

Ok, I plan on bringing the Valiant down on Saturday. I'll post tomorrow night what time, but I will probably try and be there before noon. Ryan is coming but is just going to play with Slantkota and help me with my car.

We certainly want to invite anyone else that wants to come!

Sounds like it should be a great time. I will most likely only bring the Slantkota to tow Dads car and make some minor adjustments on it. I am hoping to get some videos of Dads car. I've been waiting my whole life (literally) to see the car run so I figured a video is a must. See you Saturday.

Wish I could be there too, even though I've only been waiting 8 yrs to see it run!

Have a ball,

Well,

Ryan and I just got home from Mason Dixon. A little earlier than expected and not as happy as could be but still a pretty good day. I will post my details over in my virtual dragstrip post.

Short version is I ran a 15.8 @83, but the transmission was slipping badly. Plus with a single track I spun badly too.

Greg ran a 12.37 @ 106 but that is all I am going to tell you. He will fill you in on the details.

The April 7th date will not work for us (Covalts) I think I am going to try and get back down on the 14th of April and run things again. Spool and tranny upgrades should help.

I will check with the boys and let you all know for sure. I spoke to Maynard Gress (Yellow 70 Swinger) and he wants to come down with us, and of course anyone else is more than welcome to come along.

Just don't throw your drive line out in front of me!!! :D
