I converted my '72 Valiant to super 6 status and milled the head for a 9 to 1 compression ratio. The slant is mated to a 904 torqueflite and it has 2.76 gears out back. Need an opinion on a cam for this combo. Mostly its a daily driver. Gonna try Oregon cams. What grind would work well with my combo and provide more power. thankyou

I would use Aggressive Ted's grind for that range....
Think about ditching the 2.76's for something nicer like 2.94's....too...

What advantages do the 2.94 gears have? Disadvantages? versus a 2.76?
Obviously improved acceleration. I'm curious.

Go ahead and save that weird car, the sedan, the 6 cylinder, the C-Body. If you want a big block musclecar and that's all you care about, your missing the point.

DI,
I've got a set of 3.23's. I don't do too much highway driving and when I do it is for a short period anyway. I will look up Teds grind....thanks!

It's an rpm/cruise thing. Mopar had used 2.94's standard behind their slant six A-bodies with automatics in the late 60's...the couple hundred rpm change gives you the same mileage as the 2.76, without dogging out on acceleration. It's a better overall general ratio for street but doesn't limit you on rpm/noise like the 3.2X's do at 65 mph...
