Did Ma Mopar ever make a slant 6 904 case (68 and up - non Lockup) that permits use of the double wrap rear band? Like the LA trans's?


It appears that I cannot use this band in my trans as it does not have provisions for the Pin that the double wrap band sets on.


Can any Trans guru's support or deny this claim?

Yes. I don't recall the exact changeover year, but sometime in the 70s the case changed in the slant 904 to use the double wrap band.

I'm quite certain the single wrap band was used up to the late 70s, possibly later

Cases were the same lock up and non lu. Vb is different input shaft and stator support in the front pum is different once they went to the low first year ratio then they went to the wrap around band. You might as well use the low ratio geas set in any trans. I have many parts but an in Canada so likely no use
