my mopar performance header is comming in finally(was on backorder) what do i need to know about this beast before installing it. any tricks or problems i should know about? thanks in advanced. i bought this because im a parts guy at a dodge dealer and it was just under $150 my cost so it seemed to be the cheapest option at this point.

When we got ours I laid a new gasket on them and checked the entrance to the header. I scribed marks on them and then blended them in. The headers have rounded corners and the head is more rectangled.

Also I would highly recommend the extra thick gasket from the Cox Brothers. They are really great and help with the leaks.

Hey Chad,

Do you have a part number for the header? Also, what do they look like; do you have a picture? Thanx.

Who wants to buy one? I had one on my dart and every dip would hit my lower pipe. I removed it 4 weeks ago and put in the dual clifford setup. Kinda tight but the great part about it is that I didnt have to dimple anything for my power steering unit to clear. I now have the smashed up 6 into 1 header if anyone wants it. just pay me shipping and handling and its yours. in about a week, im going to TOSS it in the trash. 6 into header $175....Dual Cliffords $385....The boost in power and mpg......priceless.

if i need to shorten the primaries to get it up higher i will. im not new to the header banging as i think a drivers side small block header is one of the worst designed headers out there. is you car really low or something that it hits? or are the roads where you are just that bad? did the other header clear the p/sterring ok? the book says its supposed too.

I have my A body raised pretty high, it has 14" mag500s and i have a sway bar on the front. I live in LA, home of bad roads. The clifford duals fit snug, the collectors are in the engine bay so I can change the gaskets easier than crawling under the car. She gets up and goes now, before she had a little hesitation. My mileage went up from 12str/16fwy to 14 str/18fwy. runnign through 2 1/4" pipe with Hemi Mufflers to the back.

If Carl didn't get it, I want it. If you still have it, let me know and I'll put my email up for you.

Hey Zorg,

Go ahead on it. I've had a little set back here. Let me know how it works out. Regards. RMDV.
