Anyone know what the gap is supposed to be between the tail bushing and the slip yoke in an A 904? I have a new bushing and it seems like the gap is pretty big, wondering if it's the wrong bushing.

I can't say precisely but for any bushing to carry a load properly the fit has to be pretty close. I would expect a couple or a few thousandth clearance. More than that wouldn't be very good.

That's what I would expect, it seems more than that. My yoke doesn't seem worn in any discernible way, I'll measure the I.D. of the bushing that's in there now and compare.

Have you driven the bushing into the tail housing or is it loose?

I have not installed. I assume you are suggesting that it compresses some when installed.
