Been all over the forum with the search engine, can't find the part number for a rubber/tin lined valve cover gasket. None of the online supply houses have rubber/tin listed, for slant 6s. Can some one help me out,??.
Also is the slant 904 tranny pan the same as a V8 904 pan,??
I just aquired a nice 66 B-Cuda with a slant 225, and want to take care of a few leaks. Every bolt/nut I touch on the engine is loose. It has a latter model slant in it.
Also what oil filter do you all like best. I am looking at a Hastings LF115, or a wix51515.
Thanks in advance. barracudadave67

The only easily available over the counter valve cover gaskets are the
Felpro Rubber, and the Mahle Cork gaskets... The Felpro one's work fine and last several valve lashes... just make sure the gasket surface on the head is clean and make sure the flange on the valve cover is straight and unbent, check the bolt holes for over tightening and reflatten them if necessary...

Yes, you can get the extra deep pan and all the goodies and upgrades for the LA904 for your transmission, if you have a smokin' build you can also upgrade it to the V-8 parts as well...

If you spin the current filter off and find the pump has a stand pipe 51515 works just fine, if there is no standpipe then you want WIX 1806.

Hopefully the previous owner didn't just bolt up a 1968+ motor to a Pre-1968 transmission and torque convertor without the annular ring needed to support/center the older model torque convertor....
