Welcome to the board. Did this car originally have A/C and you are missing parts to get the system put together and up and running? Or you're starting with a non-A/C car and want to add air conditioning?

The bracket kits available to do so are poorly engineered and tend to create problems.

Why do you "need" to convert to a different type of compressor?

80s era slant six powered Dodge trucks and vans were built with the later Sanden style AC compressors. Late 70s and early 80s cars were too. You should be able to retrofit those brakcets to an earlier car. I recommend trying to get the brackets out of a van since those are designed for a smaller engine bay.

Contact member Charlie_S. He makes kits for the conversion and can help you out.

Charlies kits are spot on. I have used two or three of them.
