I am jumping through hoops to have a mechanical oil pressure gauge and idiot light...

I have read numerous posts about getting a "tee" or Street Tee. No success locally, guessing I am looking in the wrong place..

The fella at the parts store said he had heard of dryseal and sent me to a plumbing supply house. The had NO idea what I was talking about..

If you are looking for a Teflon thread sealant, Permatex makes one. I find it at Napa, Autozone etc.....

No, Dryseal is a particular kind of thread; see here.

Jase, see if you can find a hydraulic-lines-and-hoses place near you. Otherwise, here y'go.

Thanks Dan, It is always a pleasure to read any post you contribute.

The parts store I was at, IS the local hydraulic hose and line place, No need to go back there. I will start looking for a real hydraulic lines and hoses shop and see what happens.

yep me too!

I bout a fuel pump where the threads were listed as NPTF.

I was able to use standard parts store NPT adapters in the pump with no issues.

Yeah, you can mate regular NPT threads to NPTF threads as long as you use teflon tape or some other thread sealant.
