Post subject:  Offy 2x1
Has anyone had any success with using the off 2x1 manifold? I have one I’d like to use but use 2bbl carbs instead. If anyone has done this, can you share any info? Just how involved did it get and are you satisfied? Thanks, Steve

I have never done it, but that intake has been around for decades so it must be usable.
I have seen many installations with the 2 x 1 system.
Plus there is a linkage kit from Offy for the system.
I have seen some cut and the 2 BBL flange welded to avoid the adapter plate.
There was a recent post with 2 X 2 Weber conversion.
Also many interesting air cleaner set ups.
This is my favorite.

The pads on the intake are large enough to drill the BBD pattern, then mill out the center. Hint-make sure to drill the bolt holes on the same angle as the pads. They do not go straight in when the intake is laying flat.

Barry Harrison used 2 BBD's for a long time. He was pretty happy with them.
