Car Model: ap6 valiant
Hi started a thread in the engine build up but now have gone the turbo route. I have recently bought a Pulsar PSR3071R turbo link can be found here if interested https://www.pulsarturbo.com.au/products ... e3b6&_ss=r, a 44mm waste gate and a manifold from a guy that hand builds them here in Australia. Also bought a complete ignition setup by ICE https://www.iceignition.com/products/ch ... 561b&_ss=r that I think will make life easier. I have 60 thou over speed pro cast pistons, arp bolts and head studs, head will be cleaned up in the ports and using hughes oversize valves, crow cams lifters and valves springs with speed pro push rods. Will be running a rollmaster CS5300 double row timing chain and romac RO0224SA balancer. Will be using a beefed up 904,extra clutches and transgo shift kit with an approx 2,600-2,800 stall converter and the rear end will be an 9 inch as I already have it in another valiant that I'm converting back to stock. It has 3.7 gears, lsd and a few other good bits in it. All this will be going into my 1965 ap6 valiant which weighs in about 2758 lb. Have on order a autometer air/fuel wideband setup and already have a holley boost referenced regulator. Now that I am going turbo my issue is what cam to run and manifold/carb to use as I have a aussiespeed hurricane 4 barrel manifold already or should I be looking at going 2 barrel setup. Ant help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks Steve

Bit of a small turbo for a slant... is this a 225 or a 170?

That is one expensive way to get a boost timing retard, but it will get things done.

I'm running a similar engine combination minus the oversized valves and stall converter, and I'm using a Comp 264S cam. The price was right. There are better cams in the 264 advertised duration / 0.440" lift out there range now.

When it comes to turbocharged street cars, my own view is that there's no carburetor like no carburetor - EFI is a lot more tunable. (If this is intended to be a drag car, setting up a carb may be a bit easier.) Some others who are better with carbs may chime in if you want to go that route.
