I am located in New Haven Vermont and have 2 slant 6 engines,1 whole, 1 disassembled. Came out of Clark cortez Motorhomes from the mid 60s. Let me know if you would like these otherwise they will be scrapped.

I would be interested in (2) camshafts and (2) oil pumps.

I will be up your way between the last week of June and July 4th, 2026. I would not be able to take an entire engine, but those 4 parts if it works for you.

You can Private message me the details if you like.

Thank you,

Greg

Do we think these might be Industrial Blocks?

That intake and Carter YH might be an interesting conversation piece.

Remember, there was no special block for industrial engines. There were several different levels of truck engine (225-1, 225-2) with various heavy-duty upgrades, but these used the same blocks as passenger car engines.

I was led to believe that Industrial Blocks had a higher Nickel content.

Yup
I was thinking the same about that intake and carb being interesting.
But way too far away for me to go.
I do hope they get scooped up as so many were scrapped and they ain't making any more

The carbs and intakes were Damaged by the Salvage yard So they are scrap. I have the crank and cam for the engine that I took apart. I might have the oil pump, I have to see. It sounds like the rest will go to the salvage yard

That is not the case. It's a fairytale.

Groan. How on earth did they manage that‽ I mean, okeh, a carb is a small potmetal thing with a bunch of delicate parts. But an intake‽

Cortez-specific valve cover(s) still around?

Why do you think nobody will rescue these parts and they'll end up in scrap?

I could keep them around a little longer, but they would be outside on a pallet under a tarp. I've got limited space and Slant 6s take up a lot of room.

I'm just seeing this for the first time.. and I am interested... I will send you a Private message to establish contact info, and see about picking up what remains that have not be spoken for.. OR pick it all up if you are in a rush to get rid of it.. and then work to distribute the parts

Jason
