i have the timing set and the gm transistor well grounded and the car fires up runs like a champ then dies. its really buggin me thetransistor is new as is the distributet?i am toatally lost here can anyone help?? thanks |

does it die when you let off the key? if so you probably need a new ballast resistor. |

no it will run for a good 5 sec.s then die?? |

i would adjust the idle screw just to see if I had the idle set to low |

I agree with 70val-- Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Double check the carb settings. If it still has a ballast, doesn't hurt to change it as well. -S/6 |
