Yeah, one time. The '68 Hemi Dart and Barracudas with automatic trans. A total of approx 150 were made, about half had auto trans and the LBP 8.75 A body axles.

Ok thanks for the info. my brother-in-law has an 8.75 he wants to put into his 70 baracuda convertable and dosent want to go to SBP. he found somewhere he can get axle shafts for his rear that are LBP though. He was just wondering if there might be actual stockers.

A 70 Barracuda in not an "A" body. It is a "E" body, which has a wider rear than an "A" body. As far as I know only the "A" body 8 3/4 rears had the small 4 inch bolt pattern, all othe 8 3/4 rears had the 4 1/2 pattern.

Find an 8 3/4 from a B body to fit under an E body. The E body was based on the B body, so the rear width should be the same. No, he can't have mine.

He actually bought it to put under his featherduster, but found out that his 15 inch ralleys with I think 275/60R15's fit under the barracuda so now he wants to put the 8.75 under there.
so the rear he has is likely to small for the barracuda?

Really? I thought at least the '71-'72 B body 8.75's would fit as they were a little wider than the pre '71's....:?: How about a C body unit?

Ok he has an 8.75 under the Barracuda now and is thinking of putting his 3.91 gears in it instead of putting them in the 8.75 that he bought for the feather. he also has a set of 3.55s and all three centers he has are sure grip units. that guy finds so much cool stuff is isnt fair. Also a complete 8.75 w/ 3.23's and a sure grip go for around $500 around here
