Does anybody know if a fueltank from a 1971 Valiant fits on a 1967 model?

Filler neck size and the shape should be the same, there may be some extra vapor return fittings on the 71 tank.

skraecken, if you're talking about an A-body then proceede with caution.
i know that 67 barracudas attached the tank with a single strap, while 68 and 69 got two straps across a tank that was shaped a little differently.
I don't know if MaMopar carried the single strap across the line for the A's in 67, but i can tell you with a level of confidence that the dual strap design was carried from 68 till the bitter end on all of the a-bodies.
better to check before dropping the coin IMHO...
