WHAT KIND OF INCREASE DO YOU THINK A 100 SHOT OF NITROUS WOULD MAKE IN A 1/8TH OF MILE RUN ON A BUILT MOTOR WITH A CAR THAT IS PRESENTLY RUNNING 7.96.

My guess is about .5 to .7 IF you hit the NOS right off the starting line and IF doing that does not blow the tire-off.
Do you have good traction?

Got you to thinking huh Norm! :D

Most of the guys I have seen are right in line with what Doug said.(Some pick up more) With your ladder bar set-up you should have a good enough suspension to handle it. How much adustment do you have on your set-up?

Are you planning on running a timer? If so you could delay the hit for a fraction of a sec and help matter even more. Tune the car up and you might be surprised where it would be with a 100 shot.

Tom

No Timer on the Car Tom. I may also look at changing from a 4:56 to a 5:13 gear. I am just fooling around to try and get the most I can out of this new set up. Probably the best thing I could do is lose about 100 lbs of weight myself. I am still worried about putting the nitrous set up on my engine after the problem i had with blowing a head gasket.
My clearance is real close and had to change valve setting to 22 so they dont touch the pistons. Will a small shot of nitrous be dangerous on a engine with the clearance this close. The pistons are from J & E and made for nitrous according to the guy who put the specs together for the engine.
