And for the U.S. fellows: did You already checked out the brasilian front end used on our chargers? Check out some pics at:
http://www.bigblockdart.com/garcia/garcia.htm
Great pictures, neat car, welcome to the forum! I have always had a question about this front end: Do the headlamps always remain covered behind the grille, or does part of the grille move when you turn on the headlamps so that they are uncovered?

The headlamps are always covered by the grille. The grille is made of fine elements and they do not disturb the light a lot. There are quad lights, smaller, 135 mm round ones. Now there are some dudes reproducing them in fiberglass, not as nice as steel, but at leats are easy to get, but only the shells, no grille repro yet.
i'm looking forward to get an Argenyina built Polara or Coronado, or better yet, an old valiant like the early 60's ones they got there, of course with a /6, since I already got a bunch of V8 cars and a single and lonely 6 powered chevy needing another 6 to talk a little. Just waiting for the legislation to be released. Oh, yes, and save some cash also!

:-( :-( I was afraid of that. Would make the setup illegal in North America.

You sure they're not 146mm round as used on the Dart LeBaron and Magnum?

So, right now you cannot import a car from outside Brasil?

SlantSixDan,

Guess they are all 135mm, not 146, but have to check to make sure.
You can make a grille with holes for the lights, so they are legal and You have the cool looking shells.
Yes, now we can import cars that are 30 years or older. All from 75 backwards, the best cars on earth! Just have to fight to get the money to pay the cars. But better expensive than prohibited.

Ever checked the options around your north border? Here in Brasil there are a bunch of cool mopars also, different from the ones You have in Argentina. Guess we will finally be able to trade cars without import fees and it may seem a great opportunity for us to make some swaps.
Yes Alex, i`ve check the options many times... but the Trade is very costly... I like the Brasilians Chargers RT... and (And don't joke of my :D) I like the Dodge Polara 1800 "the Dodginho" jajajajaja is amazing!!!!... Here in Argentina we've the Dodge 1500 but this is 4 doors.

Like a lot the Coronado and Polara models. We just did not have /6, all our dodges here were 318 powered.
Yes... the "318" is a good machine... but I grew up between Slants Six ... and I love them!!!

Chao!

The li'l dodginho is a cool car, my wife owned one some time ago. We only had the 2 door, you got the 4dr and the wagon. A fellow in rio de janeiro would love to trade some with you. But the taxes like tehy are now kill any deal opportunity. And yes ours were all 1800 cc.
But 318 here are plentifull and inexpensive. The only problem is crossing the border. Now what to trade them for?
