my plymouth duster has no overflow tank for the radiator, what is your idea about it?
should I install an aftermarket tank or is it a waste of time and money an is that tank not really neccesary?

I have used regular plastic soda bottles as a catch can, with the tube down to the bottom of the bottle. Or, I've used a Nalgene chemical wash bottle with a tube integral. Doesn't hurt to have it, and it's almost free.

If you have the big top tank, you don't need the overflow; just don't fill the water to the neck.

Having an overflow keeps your radiator filled to the brim at all times/all temperatures which can be seriously beneficial over the long term for avoiding having air help cause corrosion inside the radiator.

I just have a radiator fluid container with a hole punched in the cap that the tube goes down into. It's wedged in right behind the grill to the side of the radiator.

Fab one up for the simple reason you won't have coolant dripping onto the ground...

I'll go for the bottle then.
I've found a mopar reservoir lying in the trunk, which made me look for the place where it should be mounted and then I found out that this car did not have one
so all I need to do is find a place to mount it, fab some bracket and install it.
