As for the delay, I figure with 2 minutes, any condensation will be gone, and things will just start warming up, but not yet warm enough to do any harm against an off sensor.



Most likely the burn out problem is with WOT against an off sensor.........

I waded thru the innovate forum about the delay.........

The problem with running a car with the sensor off is when it's unheated, carbon clogs up pores in the sensor, effectively killing it.

They say it takes at least 15 minutes before it possible to clog up the sensor enough that the heater will have problems burning out the carbon clogs.

If you're running with the sensor off under 3-5 minutes, the sensor won't have any trouble burning off any carbon it's accumulated.


Another thread mentioned 120 seconds.............
