I am looking for a good quality aftermarked valve cover that will not leak. Any leads or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I know about overtightening and straightening out the contact surface but mine is so damned old and worn out and so am I. There has to be better way.

Thanks

The cast aluminum Offy valve cover will be considerably stronger and will lighten your wallet significantly. Also, you have to do some custom work to use a PCV valve; it's been discussed at length.

Sure there is: the Offenhauser aluminum item. But a stock valve cover in good condition with a good gasket seals up just fine. The cheap chrome aftermarket ones are Chinese garbage, though.

There is also a brand new aluminum cover from aussiespeed.com, but I do not know anything about availablility in USA yet. They come in raw, polished and black painted versions.

You can also take a look at the aircraft quality silicone rubber valve cover gaskets from realgaskets.com, mentioned in this thread.

I have a Clifford (copy of Offy) and I used 2 neoprene glued together with contact cement. You will need longer cap screws or 1/4 20 bolts.
