:) I keep seeing people talk about the Dutra oil pump gear. I have read the article on oil pump gear failure, where do I purchase a couple of these gears at and what is the price?

Hey Doc,
Can you bring one with you when you fly out to go to Gatlinburg? I should get one for our engine that's at the machine shop right now.

I can bring a few of the hardened OP gears with me to Gatlinburg.
Drop me a PM (to Doctor Dodge) as a reminder.
Thanks Rob, I'm looking forward to meeting you in a couple of weeks.

Unless you have a steel cam, the iron gear will be fine.
As for the distributor gear, they are plastic (nylon) so that is not an issue.
I think your cam card has info which applies to a Chebby, not a Slant.

Doc, your article doesnt mention the cast bronze gear. How did the bronze gear work out, do you have any success stories?

You have a steel cam....
You can get a bronze gear from Dutra (Doctor Dodge) or the Cox Boys.
They cost about $45.00
