I’d like to relocate the oil filter in my A100 with the /6. Anyone ever do this? Is there a preferred kit? Thanks,Steve.

I would think any of the universal oil filter relocation kits from speedway / summit / jegs would do the job or the Australian oil pump.

I remounted the oil filter for my 65 Belvedere as I did not really like the upside-down filter configuration. All I did was 'flip' it over and mounted the filter directly to the block just behind the oil pump.

Decide where you want it and just buy any of the kits out there you want. I don't know if any of them are all that much better than any other one. Matt's is a neat set up also.

Well guys, here’s my idea of remote filter mount. Not 100% complete, but you get the idea. Thinking of maybe trying some AN fittings, but may just leave it alone.

This I never really understood. If the slant 6 was so popular in Aussie land, why are there no oil pumps?

Because the Slant-6 was used only from '62-'69 in Australia, and in much lower volumes than in North America, and 1969 was over half a century ago.

Based on that, do you happen to know if/when the crank/converter pocked changed?

I thought they had 61 Valiants in Australia - R Series.. Maybe they were sold as 1962's down there and the S series were 1963's?

Cool stuff.
