I have a chance to score a complete dash from an `86~ish Chrysler with the digital gauges. I think these would look great on my D100. Anybody know what all I need from the donor car? I know I'll need the little speedometer sensor, but what else?

A lot of those cars had trouble with the digital IP, so it's not the best unit.
Both the tach signal and the speed/distance sensor signal went through the logic module first, so I don't know if they will work without it.
The other inputs are straightforward, except that the sensors are often specific to the digital setup, so grab all the sensors/sending units off the donor.

What about the gas tank sending unit? If its resistance is in the wrong range that could be tweaked externally w/other electronics but I'm more worried about fittment.

The fuel sender on an 86 LeBaron has a range of 30-230 ohms, according to the information I have.

I don't know if I wanna mess with a logic module! I want digital gauges, but not bad enough to reinvent the wheel to get them. I was hoping it'd be like changing regular gauges. Guess not.

Dakota digital makes standalone digital gauges, and even entire dashes for some cars. But be prepaired to spend an arm and 2 legs for those. www.dakotadigital.com
