Ok, what happened and what I did.

My gasket that goes between exhaust manifold and muffler tube broke up, so I decided to remove it and put a new one, after some hard work (because of thing space) I put the new gasket, and test it, everything was working fine, until some minutes later (with engine working) a smell of burning reach me.

I opened the hood and the smell was there, I think it comes from the new gasket, what can be??

the gasket probably burned out again. You might have accidentally warped the flange on the exhaust manifold when you replaced the gasket.

try putting some high temperature sealer on it, and make sure both of the surfaces are clean and meet up good..

I donno, the exhaust manifold flange is about ten times the thickness as the header pipe flange, so I doubt that's warped.

It is normal for a new gasket to stink a little bit when used for the first time. If it is a strong odor then maybe youre running lean and the manifold is getting too hot. Take your spark plugs out and look at them (read the color), or take a picture and post it here, and check your exhaust joint for leaks with the car cold (feel with your hand for air chuffing through) and be careful.

Thanks steponmebbbboom!!!, I checked it cold, and clear alll the surrounding of the gasket, also check my spark plugs (cables) and I need to retire them, I will buy some new set tomorrow, but the smell has stoped, also odor was strong ´cause I used two gaskets instead of one, but I have used the car form one hour after cleaning everithing from exhaust manifold and muffler tube. I found very little pices of charcoal, so that tells me that I really need to clean my engine.

But the important thing is that burning smell has gone, this was the firts time I did this operation, also notice that my choke has stop working.

Since now is getting cold in the mornings here, I didn´t notice that my choke is not working until now, I wonder what can be? and since when it stoped working?
