Does anyone know the lash specs for this cam?

I know .10 intake .20 exhaust is stock. I guess I'll start with these.

Thanks :?

Because that lobe profile was never ment to be used on a SL6 cam.

I have never had good luck with the Mopar 268 cam, I don't know what Mopar was thinking when they came up with it. To get a half way decent idle you have to use that wide lash... then you have a noisy valve train. :x

So it is not a good cam, and if it still in the shop, its maybe better to leave there?

How about Comp Cams 264?

Too late. I got it in already. I'll see what happens.

Will that big a lash (.28 and .32) make it easy for a push rod to come out?
I would be afriad of one popping off.

Doug:
When you say a half-way decent idle, what rpm do you mean?
If I run a 1000 rpm idle, and I'm OK with it being lumpy, and I have a manual transmission, do you think I'll be allright?
I guess what I'm asking is, will the car be undrivable?

I just want to see what I have to look forward to.

With a manual trans and 3.23 or steeper gears, you will be OK
Idle will be 800 to 1000 RPM, you will have to "play around with the lash, initial timing setting and idle air/fuel ratio to get decent idle and off idle responce..... but once the engine is on the RPMs, watch-out!

Well I have 3.73's in the back, so that's good.

Thanks for the info. I'd still have a 1 bbl if it wasn't for this forum.
I'll play with the timing etc. It just wouldn't be fun if I just "bolted and ran" now would it? :)

OK
So I got it installed/broken in. I've got the lash set at .16/.18
How can I tell if the lash is too tight? I've got an OK idle. I also have a little noise in the valves.
Thanks
