I'm in the process of removing the dash from a 1972 Dodge Dart, however, the bolts located around the gauge cluster i can't seem to get to. I tried removing the gauge cluster but the the column was quite in the way, and after unbolting the column, it doesn't hang low enough. What do I do?

Your almost there. Remove the bolts at the firewall then the column will drop lower.
